Just as I ask myself, “Why am I here” and “What is here.” I ask myself why I bother to write. I write because I am an archivist. I like to archive, to try to preserve this wonderful experience that I’m living. Every experience is infinitely valuable to me and I want to collect and keep them all.

Facebook and social media started out as being so much fun and I loved it. It is now a toxic wasteland that should be discarded. I was the one who set up class pages, reconnected with everyone, posted old photos and videos. After the toxicity of Trump propelled in a large part by social media I’ve done a 180 and have dumped Facebook. I cannot delete it however as I have friends from all over the world and Facebook is my only connection to them. Furthermore, as I age I would like to see updates from people I once knew and currently Facebook is the place to do that.
