From the Bach Dang Hotel – Ho Chi Minh City
Met Axel at 9:30. Was not in good spirits because of money situation and was a bit nervous at the prospect of being in another Morocco. All of a sudden I missed my girlfriend and was a bit nervous to leave Japan! We got to the airport and off at terminal #2. We thought we made a mistake and went to terminal 1. Then we realized we were right and had to go back to terminal #2. Got on Malaysian air and the first thing I noticed were the colors of their uniforms which I thought were horrendous but the stewardesses were beautiful.
The light was a long one and when we arrived I was nervous and thought I was going into a poor country. The airport was spectacular complete with a starbucks and Sabarros. I really didn’t want to go into the city because we didn’t have much time and was nervous. We went into ChinaTown and it was packed and full of excitement. — plane noticed the immigration cards said “Be forewarned Death for drug trafficers under Malaysian Law.” We strolled through the jammed marketplace and found a restaurant/bar called “Halo Club” 海snail.”
They accepted credit cards and prices were reasonable. Not long after a Chinese woman said some workers were working on the electric lines and the club might lose power early. We chatted for a bit and she said she was a singer in the band. Her band was playing onstage not long after. We had another drink and then went back to the hotel. The woman were all very cute! I really liked Malaysia! Coming to Vietnam I was nervous again. At customs, the official questioned me about my passport picture. When I changed money I got a huge stack of bills and was nervous again. I didn’t want to carry all that money.
