Mexico – 7.23.1999

Today was a great day.  We went to the GM production plant then to the Flexi shoe factory.  I really enjoyed walking through the GM plant and see production in progress.  Actually it gave me flashbacks of my accounting class.  We always had to watch these movies about production and how cost/expenses should be recorded.  The only thing that was a bit annoying was the 30 minutes of questions which cut down on our tour time.

After that we went to the Flexi shoe factory.  The first thing I learned was that I do not want to work in a factory for the rest of my life.  Thank God for college education.  However, it was interesting to see how fast they make shoes and the mass quantities they produce.  I can also see how mistakes can be made and why shoes can fall apart so easily sometimes.

That night a few of us decided to go to the discoteca.  It was the Farm Boys, Rocio, Geralyn, Evette and I.  Jen had been sick that day so she couldn’t go.  I really didn’t have a good time.  I enjoyed dancing but I think I”m just tired of going out.  What I really miss is my computer.  Back home I would rather work on my computer than go out.  I also would rather have a blockbuster night with my girlfriend or go to the Lennox than go out.  I guess I’m just getting old.  🙂
