Journal Entry – 2.23.2016

It is now 8:17 AM on Tuesday morning.  I was up at 4:00 AM and finished my gym routine at 6:10 AM.  As I was driving back I saw a flash of light in the sky over the ocean that quickly faded out.  I had seen a meteor!!!  I’ve never seen a meteor so close to sunrise when everything is bright.  It occurred about 6:22 AM and persuaded me to stop and admire the moon setting over the ocean.   If you zoom in on the top left side of the moon you’ll also see a lone point of light which is Jupiter.

Over the years I’ve really come to appreciate the movements of celestial bodies, the stars, and space.  If we were to really contemplate space, everyone should be in absolute awe at the fact where on this little blue marble in a seemingly infinite void of which we really know very little about.  Taking this thought much farther, we really do not know where we are, what is going on, or the nature of our reality.  Looking up at a clear sky it is fun to contemplate these questions.

Alas, I cannot contemplate too deeply this morning as each weekday brings tasks we must all perform to gain money; seeing as we all need money to survive in this society I need to set about completing my own tasks.
