E-mail to Torre 1.8.2004

Hello Torre,

This is Mateo your old debate partner from years and years ago at OSU.  It was great to see you again at the Carlyle (sp?) club, although I’m sorry to be writing you so late.  Did you think I forgot?  As I mentioned at the bar, I’m currently living in Japan and it took a while to get back into the rhythm here.  The jet-lag is terrible.

So what are you up to these days?  From your e-mail I’m guessing it must be something with cheerleading?  If so how is it going?  As for me, I took off for Japan after graduation to do some exploring and learn something about Asia.  So since then I’ve been teaching English and learning Japanese.  Teaching English is fun, but I have to get some sort of business job and wrap up my studies by August.  Doing the job search thing is always such fun especially in the current economy isn’t it?  I’m hoping something decent will turn up, but if not I can always bide my time here in Japan until the economy picks up.

Well I’m glad we made contact again even though years and years have passed.  I hate the thought of turning 30 in 4 years.  Time sure goes fast after college doesn’t it?  I also have a webpage if you’re interested in the fun that can be had in Japan and in other places.  I’ve posted mostly pictures, but if you’re ever bored please feel free to check it out.  The link is here xxxxx

Take care Torre!
